This huge area, once the popes' preferred venue for public events, was ordered by Pope Clement VII and branches to Via Del Corso, Via Di Ripetta and Via Del Babuino.

Recently restored, now the Piazza glows of its original splendor.

In the center, there is a massive Egyptian obelisk, the Pharaoh Ramses II's obelisk estimated 3200 years old that eas brought by Emperor augustusin the 1st century BC. Separing Via Del Corso and Via Di Ripetta, there's an enchanting chirch, the Church of Santa Maria Del Popolo, made in Renassimental style, containing both Renaissance and Baroque elements and with three main chapels, all painted by famous Renaissance painters.
